Cookie Policy

Effective Date: October 10, 2026

This policy explains how Avalon Academic Center uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://www.avalonacademiccenter.com, what each one is for, and how you can change your mind at any time.

Cookies We Always Use

Some cookies are needed for the website to work, and we use them without asking first. These cover basic things like keeping the site secure, remembering the choices you make in a form, and protecting our contact forms from spam. They do not track you around the internet, and turning them off would stop parts of the site from working.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

Our website runs the standard Google tag on every page. It loads for all visitors as soon as the page loads, and it starts the two Google services below. We are telling you plainly what they do rather than describing a choice that the site does not currently offer.

Google Analytics (G-4822LQWZH5). This tells us how many people visit our pages, which pages they read, how long they stay, and roughly where they came from — the country or region, and whether they arrived from a search, an ad, or directly. It uses cookies and similar identifiers to recognize a returning browser. We use it to understand which parts of the site are useful to families.

Google Ads (AW-18399654321). This measures how our advertising performs. It sets cookies that let Google connect a visit to the ad that produced it, and it fires a conversion event when you click one of our diagnostic or lead booking links. That is how we know which ads lead to families actually booking. Because it is a Google Ads tag, it can also be used by Google for advertising measurement and remarketing — showing our ads to people who have visited this site — on Google's own properties and partner sites.

Both services are operated by Google. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy, and it may combine it with information from other sites that use Google services. We do not send Google your student's academic records or any information you give us through our contact forms.

Optional services and privacy choices

Whether optional services need permission before they run depends on your location and the settings for this site. Services you previously declined stay off. If we cannot determine which services are allowed, they stay off.

You can decline optional services or withdraw permission at any time in Cookie settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, advertising stays off unless you explicitly allow it in Cookie preferences. This signal does not automatically turn off functional services or analytics.

How to Opt Out

These services run by default, but you have several ways to stop or limit them:

  • The Cookie settings link in our footer. Every page has a Cookie settings link at the bottom. Turning the analytics and advertising services off there tells Google not to use cookies for advertising or analytics for you, and takes effect immediately without reloading the page.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we read that as an opt-out and treat you the same way as the footer choice above — advertising and analytics cookies are blocked for you from your first visit.
  • Google's Ads Settings. Visit adssettings.google.com (opens in a new window) to control how Google uses your information for advertising, including turning off personalized ads. Google also offers the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (opens in a new window) to stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any site.
  • Your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and some let you block third-party cookies entirely. Doing so may affect how parts of this site work.

What opting out does and does not do. Opting out tells Google not to set or read advertising or analytics cookies for you. It does not stop every signal reaching Google: Google may still receive limited information that does not rely on cookies — for example, that a page was viewed, which is used for aggregate measurement and to keep advertising accurate — and it may still use information it already holds about you from other sources. Opting out through your browser or Google's settings, rather than our footer link, generally has the widest effect because it applies across every site you visit, not just ours.

How We Know Which Rules Apply to You

When you visit, we do a one-time, coarse lookup of your general region (country, and state within the United States). We use it to understand where our visitors come from and which privacy rules apply to us. This lookup happens on our own site, uses your connection's basic location information, is not used to identify you, and is not shared for advertising.

This lookup does not currently change what loads on the site. The Google services described above run for every visitor regardless of region.

Basic Website Visit Counts

We also see anonymous, aggregate counts of how many people visit our pages and roughly where they came from. This measurement does not use cookies, does not follow you to other websites, and does not identify you — so it runs regardless of the choices above.

Your Browser Settings

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect how parts of this site work. For more about how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
